The V girl
The V girl - Mya Robarts
This book is definitely not for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. It was very different from any story line I have ever read. A very twisted tale, yet a beautiful story at the same time, if that can possibly make sense in any way.

Chasing Forever Down
Chasing Forever Down - Nikki Godwin
Haley meets this mysterious guy, and they seem to have some sort of understanding of each other, but the next morning he doesn't show up where they were supposed to meet. She never even got his name, but through some digging she found out that he was the supposedly dead son of a local couple. She gets a few leads and she, along with her best friend, decides to track him down. Her best friend, Linzi, is that slutty best friend that is just a perfect amount of bad influence to get you to have fun, but I'm not so sure if I like her, slutty friends usually end up stabbing you in the back.
I LOVE the whole "mysterious guy that gets me" thing. I thought "oh how sweet she is gonna track him down and they are gonna love each other (swoon)" That DOES NOT happen, but that's OK. I also love a good road trip and they were tracking down those clues, it was like one of those Geo Caching hunts. They do find him though in California, only he is like some local celebrity named Colby Taylor and everyone treats them like stupid little fan girls. Colby has these body guards that they have to get past if they want to see him. My favorite character is AJ. Everyone sees AJ as this bad boy, trouble maker, but he is actually a really sweet and amazing person. I won't say WHO Haley ended up with, you will just have to read for yourself, but it was NOT who I expected. And I kind of think Colby Taylor might be bat shit crazy; I don't know we’ll see. Luckily the next two books are already out and after you love this one you don't have to wait for the next two.
This book has awakened my gypsy soul and given me a serious case of wanderlust. I sometimes find myself shaking my leg and wanting to run when I am sitting around not doing anything.

Halfway There
Halfway There - Nikki Godwin
I loved Falling From The Sky, so when I heard there was going to be a sequel I was soooo excited. I can't wait to read Crash Landing! Then Nikki Godwin released Halfway There and it eased a little bit of my pre-sequel suffering. I absolutely LOVE Ridge and Micah! I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to like Falling From The Sky when I won it in a contest, but now it is one of my favorite books. I am so glad that that I won that contest, because it introduced me to this author, and I have since read some of her other books. She is very talented and I do plan to read everything that she has wrote.

The Night
The Night - Natasha Larry
This book is absolutely AMAZING! In exchange for an honest review, this book was sent to me in the afternoon and once I started I couldn't stop reading. I tell you nothing got done at my house that day, and after the third or fourth "I'll cook supper in a minute" they finally gave up and ordered pizza. This book takes place over the course of one night, and it is definitely one hell of a night. This book put me through so much. One minute I was frustrated, ready to pull my hair out, and then I would be ready to cry. So many times I was like "Aww so sweet. ♥" "What a bitch!" "Punch her in the throat!" "Gah what are thinking?!?!" "Noooo don't go!" "Idiot!" "YES!"
SO. MANY. EMOTIONS. I really felt like I just went through everything right along with Kinsley, and really I did because I was so sucked in to the story. I highly highly recommend this book! It is hard to even put words together to fully express how incredible this story is.

The Witchling Apprentice (Skinwalkers Witchling Book 1)
The Witchling Apprentice (Skinwalkers Witchling Book 1) - B. Kristin McMichael
The Skinwalkers are another form of Night Human, so this book takes place in the Night Human/Day Human world, but it is about a completely different set characters. However, we did meet Cassie in the last Day Human book, she is the witch that came to help Devin. I really love this world that the author has created. Cassie has been kept in the dark about the Night Humans her whole life and when she finally learns about everything her world just kind of gets turned upside down and she is suddenly thrown into all this craziness that she doesn't want. I am excited to see where this goes. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Silenced
Silenced - Natasha Larry
I have never read a book about a siren before, and I always thought sirens were female, so it was exciting to read something new. I really enjoyed this book and I could totally see it as a movie. I know I say that about a lot of books, but if they made more books into movies there would be a lot more good movies coming out, instead of remaking the same damn movies all the time. We need something new! Anyways, I do highly recommend this book.

Annabeth Neverending
Annabeth Neverending - Leyla Kader Dahm
I am fascinated by ancient Egypt, so I was really excited to read this book. I really enjoyed the flashbacks. I couldn't quite make up my mind how I felt about each guy in the present, in the past it was perfectly clear to me who was the better choice, but in the present not so much. Annabeth's parents drove me crazy, what kind of parents just gets rid of their child’s belongings like that?!?! What jerks! The twist totally shocked me; I was NOT expecting that at all. Oh and poor Mrs. Lansing, I didn't see that one coming either. Overall I would recommend this book to anyone that would enjoy reading a book about reincarnation and ancient Egypt. ♥

The Devil's Fool (Devil Series, #1)
The Devil's Fool (Devil Series, #1) - Rachel McClellan
I think I have said this about every one Rachel McClellan's books, but I LOVED this story! Eve starts out as this abused girl, but after she meets Boaz she makes a complete change. This book was like reading three different books in one, but in a good way, because of how much Eve transforms herself from one extreme to the other. Another exciting part about this book is that it takes place in the same world as the Fractured Light series, but it is about completely different people. SO FREAKING AWESOME! I highly recommend this series!

HOLY FREAKING ROLLER COASTER!!! Twist after shocking twist! This was the best one of the series. This book has lots of action and a psycho jerk. Perhaps a new budding romance or two?? Some sadness too. OMG there are not enough words to express how much awesomeness is in the book! EVERYONE MUST READ THIS SERIES!

Fractured Soul
Fractured Soul - Rachel McClellan
Goodbye high school, hello Lucent Academy. Llona decided to take her aunt up on the offer to go to the academy to learn how to use her power. Lucent Academy is supposed to be the safest place for Auras, but there is a traitor among them. Lucient isn't as safe as they all think. Llona also has a HUGE secret of her own. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so you will just have to read the book to find out what her secret is and who the traitor is. Oh yeah, someone important may, or may not die. ;) I loved this book and I think it might just have more action than the first book. I HIGHLY recommend this series! This would make such an awesome tv series!

Fractured Light
Fractured Light - Rachel McClellan
I love, love, LOVED it!!!!! In the beginning of the story Llona is quiet and keeps to herself. She doesn't want to draw the attention of anyone. She keeps people a distance and it doesn't seem like she is a very happy girl. Her parents are both dead and she lives with her uncle that spends all his time playing video games, and being depressed. Llona is an Aura, someone that can control light and harness its energy. Vykens are these vampireish creatures that feed on Auras. A Vyken killed her parents. Llona and her uncle have spent the last few years moving around because Llona is worried that Vykens with find her and kill her too. She has lost so much to Vykens and that is why she doesn't want to get close to anyone and pushes people away.
After a big blow up with her uncle, he snaps out of his misery and gets a job and encourages Llona to do the same and have fun. Llona starts to come out of her shell and starts making friends, but the Vyken that killed her parents comes after her. By the end of the book Llona is NOT the same girl, like at all! She is confident, she can use her power, she is stronger and she has a best friend. It is amazing how much she grows throughout this story. I loved watching her transformation. This is a definite must read, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ♥♥♥♥

To Stand Beside Her
To Stand Beside Her - B. Kristin McMichael
LOVED IT! I am a big fan of this author and I have now officially read every book she has published so far. I have loved every single one of them too. Leila is a courier. You might ask, what is a courier? Well, in the description of the book it says
"To the people she takes from, she is seen as a common thief; to the people she helps, she is a savior."

For me I think of a courier as a sort of Robin Hood-ish type person.
The ending has a bit of a twist and I know some people didn't like how things ended up, but I think it is kind of good to have an ending like this. Life doesn't always end up the way we want it to. We expect a HEA in a romance novel, and when it doesn't happen, people complain. While this is not your typical HEA, I found this ending to be bittersweet. Everything did work out for Leila, just not the way we would expect it to, I like that about this book. Sometimes it is nice to have a change, something you don't anticipate. I do highly recommend this book and all the other books by B. Kristin McMichael!

Gorgon
Gorgon - Geoffrey C. Saign
When I read book one my intentions were to read it with my ten year old son, but when the action picked up in the very first chapter, I was hooked. We read two chapters before he went to bed and then I stayed up all night and finished the book because I just could not put it down. I think this one was even better and this time I didn’t even bother to try to read it with my son first, I just went for it, but I will read it again with him. This story has a fascinating plot, is fast paced, very well written, and action packed. I highly recommend this book!!!
